Your pantry fills itself.
HomeBasket reads your grocery receipt, stocks your pantry, and turns what you already have into this week's meals and next week's list. You never type in a grocery.
Already reading receipts from H-E-B, Costco, Walmart, Kroger, Publix, Whole Foods Market, ALDI, Trader Joe's and more.

Receipts are written in code. We read the code.
Store receipts shorten everything. HomeBasket works out what each line actually is, and when it isn't sure, it says so instead of guessing.

Any printed grocery receipt works; nothing is tuned to particular chains. Receipts read so far include H-E-B, Costco, Walmart, Kroger, Publix, Whole Foods Market, ALDI, Trader Joe's, Meijer, Sam's Club, Wegmans, Target and neighborhood Indian grocers.
We'd rather say we're not sure than guess
A line we can't read with confidence is flagged for you, never filled in with a guess.
When we are sure, you get the name, the aisle and the nutrition facts, from USDA's own data.
Three steps, a few times a month
One photo after each shop. That is the whole habit.
Snap the receipt
After any shop, take one photo. Long receipts work too: add another page.
Check the lines
Each line is decoded and filed on the right shelf. Fix anything in a tap; nothing is added until you confirm.
Your pantry is done
Use-soon estimates start, the list learns what you bought, and tonight's meals come from what's there.
Use it before it goes
Every item gets an estimated shelf life from the day you bought it, so what needs using first comes to the top, and so do the recipes that use it.
- Estimates from USDA FoodKeeper data, for over 600 foods
- "Tomorrow", "In 2 days": plain words, not a wall of dates
- Used it or tossed it: one tap keeps the pantry true

Next week's list writes itself
HomeBasket learns how often you buy each thing from your receipts. Milk every four days, olive oil every other week: your usuals are suggested when they come due.
- Grouped by aisle, in the order you walk the store
- Add what a recipe is missing in one tap
- Shared with everyone in your household

A week of meals from what you have
Most planners start from a blank week and send you shopping for all of it. HomeBasket starts from your shelves, and only lists what the plan is missing.
- Over 2,000 recipes, each checked against your pantry
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner, leaning the way you ask
- Swap any meal; the list updates with it

Save recipes from any reel
Share a recipe from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or any recipe site, and HomeBasket writes it up: ingredients, steps, and what you already have for it.
- The source is credited and linked
- "You have everything" or exactly what's missing
- Cooking mode: one step at a time, with timers

See where the money goes
Every receipt you scan already says what you spent and where. HomeBasket adds it up by month, store and aisle, against a budget if you set one.
- A budget pace that says early when a month is running hot
- Spend by aisle: meat, dairy, produce and the rest
- Six months of history, from the receipts alone

One household
Invite your household with a code: one pantry, one list, one plan, whoever shops.
Cook step by step
Big type, one step at a time, timers built in, amounts right where you need them.
Ask your kitchen
"Do we have eggs?" "What should I cook first?" Answered from your own pantry.
Your kitchen is not our product
A shopping receipt says a lot about a household. Here is what we do, and don't do, with yours.
Private to your household
Your receipts, pantry and lists are seen by the people you invite, and no one else.

Questions we'd ask too
Which stores does it work with?
Any printed grocery receipt. HomeBasket reads what the receipt says rather than plugging into particular chains, so there is no list of supported stores.
Receipts read so far include H-E-B, Costco, Walmart, Kroger, Publix, Whole Foods Market, ALDI, Trader Joe's, Meijer, Sam's Club, Wegmans, Target and neighborhood Indian grocers. A long receipt can be photographed in parts.
What if it misreads a line?
You see every line before anything is saved, and a tap fixes a name or an amount. Nothing reaches your pantry until you confirm.
When HomeBasket isn't sure what a line is, it says so and asks, rather than filling in a guess.
Do I have to type in my groceries?
No, that is the point. The receipt stocks the pantry, use-soon estimates start from the purchase date, and the shopping list learns what you buy. You can still add the odd item by hand or by scanning its barcode.
How do the recipes and meal plans work?
Over 2,000 recipes are checked against what you actually have, so the ones you can cook tonight come first. Plan a week and HomeBasket fills breakfast, lunch and dinner around your pantry, then lists only what's missing.
You can also save recipes from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or any recipe site by sharing the link.
Can my household share it?
Yes. Invite the people you live with using a code, and everyone sees the same pantry, list and plan, whoever does the shopping.
What does it cost?
Free during early access. The long-term plan is a simple subscription: you pay for the app, and that is the business. Your shopping data is not the product and is never sold.
Is there an Android app?
iPhone comes first. An Android version is being tested with a small group and will follow.
What happens to my data if I leave?
You can download everything, or delete your account and its data, from the app's settings. If you share a household, the history the others still use stays with them.
Is this health or diet advice?
No. HomeBasket shows nutrition information from product labels and USDA data. It doesn't diagnose, prescribe or certify that a food is safe for an allergy or a diet.
Your kitchen, remembered.
HomeBasket is coming to iPhone first. Leave your email and we'll write once, the day it's on the App Store.
